WHO ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR?

In life, you will meet many people along the way.
Each person who touches our life brings a gift.
Some will touch you more than others,
but each person comes into your life for a reason.
Many times we don't exactly know why.
This person could be a teacher, a parent, a spouse, a sibling,
a friend or a stranger.
Maybe this person listens when we need to talk or cry.
Maybe they help us financially when we are broke.
Maybe they talk to us, when we need a different perspective.
Maybe they hold us when we don't deserve it.
Maybe they sit with us when our grief is too much to bear alone.
Maybe they are just there, so we know we are not alone.
How have we acknowledged this help?
Have we taken their gifts of love, compassion,
and hope out into the world and offered it to others?
We all need to give something back to this world
that will help others along their paths.
I think we all need to be more thankful.
This year, stop, think, and remember all of the people
who have crossed your paths
and be thankful for them.
Say it out loud, say it in silence, but say it.

Raise your hand if your layouts are living on your hardrive (EHD count too!)?

I’m right there with you my friends! I scrap all those crazy moments just so, then send them to live in a folder only to be dragged out when I REMEMBER to show them off. Sad, right?! I mean we scrap to not only to preserve our memories, but to share them as well. That is where printing comes in.

I was recently turned onto a printing site called ScrappingSimply.com, who specialize in printing layouts in various sizes, as well as gallery wraps and other goodies. They were running a fabulous sale at the time and I could NOT resist printing out oodles of my layouts!

Thankfully my order arrived quickly… the mail gods must KNOW how impatient I am! I broke open the package and nearly cried at how perfect the prints were! There is something SO satisfying about holding your layouts and seeing them in person.

WHY I *heart* Scrapping Simply:
* the colors were very true to what I saw on my screen.
* they have a full bleed so there are no white edges around the sides and you don’t lose the sides of your layouts, huge bonus for us “off the edge” scrappers!
* they print on fugi photo paper, which is of great quality AND they offer matte finish, which i always choose so I don’t have a glare on my prints
* loads of sizing options (I printed mine 8×8, which I LURVES!)
* even when they aren’t running a sale, the prices are extremely reasonable (so go break those layouts from their pixelated tombs!!!)

I’m excited to have more of my layouts printed soon and have my eye on those gallery wraps… how gorgeous would those look in your house!? *drooooooool*

OH, and in my giddy-ness, I had to email Chari over at Scrapping Simply and let her know how much I adored their service and guess what? She hooked me up with a $20 Gift Certificate to give away!!!! Woot!

1. You must write a tutorial (only one entry per person) for one of the top categories, and publish it in your own blog, including in it images of you performing the actual tutorial (this to avoid tutorial duplications).
2. Since we have an international jury, entries should be in english (or in the blogger’s language + english). Those that have problems with translations from spanish can contact me personally for help, I’d gladly will assist you.
3. In the introduction of the tutorial post you must mention this contest, linking your readers to this post You can use if you want one of the contest banners.
4. Once you have published the tutorial, you have to leave a link to it in the comments of this post.
5. We will pick a winner based on the creativity of the tutorial purposed, and well as the clarity and presentation of it.
