An epiphany

Salam

listen to the word
an epiphany

i suddenly drawn into this word
few days back
i asked hubby to search for it's meaning
beautiful meaning...

An epiphany (from the ancient Greek ἐπιφάνεια, epiphaneia, "manifestation, striking appearance") is the sudden realization or comprehension of the (larger) essence or meaning of something. The term is used in either a philosophical or literal sense to signify that the claimant has "found the last piece of the puzzle and now sees the whole picture," or has new information or experience, often insignificant by itself, that illuminates a deeper or numinous foundational frame of reference.

and weird things happened
i listened to the word again..
this time
in the radio
when yesterday i listened to an interview with
Conversion: Lauren booth chose to become a Muslim after a holy experience at a shrine in Iran

The 43-year-old mother of two, who has long sympathised with the Muslim cause, described how she had a religious awakening six weeks ago on a visit to a shrine in the Iranian holy city of Qom. ‘I sat down and felt this shot of spiritual morphine, just absolute bliss and joy,’ she said. The former reality TV contestant decided to convert immediately on her return to Britain. ‘I always felt that the ummah [Muslim community] is a very loving, peaceful place and I am proud to be a member of it,’ she said.

it was very calming feeling to just listen at her voice
my feeling is mixed
i was stunned
i  was to cry
i was happy
i was overwhelmed

from the interview, she  said that when she 1st when to the mosque
she feels the epiphany when she said to Allah :
'thank you for this experience'
she didn't want to get up
she just sit there and stay calm
the feeling was like taking morphine after a surgery
and she was blessed since then,

another thing that, she told
that she is muslim for 14 weeks now
and already read page 200+ of Al Quran
and memories 32 of Allah names....
i am so touched by her....

and she also said that she didnt missed old days
when she did drank alcohol and didnt cover her aurat
because this religion thought her
' to add more value to herself , not taking away something '

compared to me
the born and rise as Muslim
i am weak from the inside...
i suddenly feeling that i am bad servant to Allah

my mission now is realizing
the wonders and joy of living in this world
and prepare myself for Akhirat
and stay happy here...
because in the end
that is the place for me
forever.....

as for today
i already start recite a surah
and which i will continue to do so...
i am feeling calm and strong...
i have Him with me
i need to get closer....
Ya Allah..

thanks for today
and i pray that You
will be here for me
i want to always ask for Your Love

time for yourself ?

Salam :)

have you ever have time for yourself ?
time just to unwind and enjoy time to be alone

007
p/s like my rabbit today, very grumpy and just didn't want to be touch hehe

some people said
being alone is not good
yes, quite true

but believe me
we need just a little time to be
alone

i really put up things for others..first
because i really care and love them
i really need their time to be smooth at everything
and when things flow right at its path
it satisfies me as wife , mummy and friend

but in the sense of feeling what i want to feel
want to really time..
i just need some time
alone

008
p/s big breakfast today

being with my own self really put me into deep thinking
thinking of how i gonna love myself more
to adore and appreciate that i have health and love today
because as for tomorrow
it just uncertainty and we never know
what will be and what will be taken from us...

seriously..
do we think about it

yes
that we sure want to enjoy life fullest
but beyond that
there are more to think and learn about

i see myself as journey
that every steps i take
will effect me and others
every decision and plan will fall
if He said so
and still i will keep on moving
forward

005
p/s dropped by at hubby school because he left his laptop
i am at my day off today..just want to be alone :)
this photo i took back from his school i love the arrow on the road

i just want to be
alone
think
unwind
appreciate today
and pray and pray
for better tomorrow

bless by life

until we meet again lil diary,

i found to related article to read today :

Do you ever find yourself longing for some time for yourself? Many of us are so busy with work, school, and home life that often there is no time left over to do something that you enjoy. What follows are some ways to carve out that essential time you need to slow down, enjoy life, and rejuvenate yourself.

Scheduling Time with Yourself

1. Evenings with Yourself. Try to save certain weeknights just for you. If others ask you to do things those nights, just tell them you have plans. Use the time for gardening, reading, exercise, thinking, or the ultimate luxury of doing nothing!
2. Monthly Treat. Schedule a treat for yourself once a month. It could be on your lunch break, a weekend, or it could be leaving work early. Maybe you get a spa treatment, go see a movie, a haircut, play golf, or whatever treat you’re always thinking about but rarely get to. Schedule it in and it will happen! (xoxo)
3. Buy Tickets in Advance. Sports, theater, concerts, or any other event you would enjoy. Schedule the plans with a friend later. Having the tickets already in hand will force you to make it happen!
4. Leave Work on Time. Huh? Yes, many of us stay at work late on a regular basis. If this is you, make it a point to leave work exactly on time at least once a week, if not more. And then enjoy that time! Leave work at work.
5. Join a Group. Here are some ideas of groups that can allow you some time away from work and home: singing group, gardening group, astronomy society, book club, quilting (or any other craft) circle, biking/walking/running/etc clubs, ski club, etc. What are you interested in? Strike while the iron is hot. Look up a club in your area today and join! If you can’t find a club, consider starting one yourself!
6. Take an Adult Education Class. Take a fun class. If accounting is fun for you, then go ahead. If not, then think about some of these ideas: foreign language, photography, art, creative writing, or sports (kayaking, archery, golf, yoga). Belly-dancing anyone?
7. Exercise. For busy people it can be difficult to make time for this. But, you know what? You can do it!! All you have to do is decide today and then make it a reality tomorrow. A new habit is started with just one step. Take that first step tomorrow. Walk for 20 minutes in the morning. And then build on that success daily. Vary how you spend that time. On some days use the time for thinking and daydreaming. Other days listen to motivational audio and on days you want a real boost, listen to your favorite music! Here are a couple travel audio books you could borrow from your local library that will take you on a journey to a foreign land while you are walking or jogging: “Holy Cow:An Indian Adventure” by Sarah MacDonald or “The Places in Between” by Rory Stewart. If you’ve been exercising for a while and you usually listen to music, try go without any input for a change. Instead, let your mind wander and expand. (xoxo)

On the Go

1. Commute Via Public Transportation. If you can, ditch your car, and let someone else do the driving. Use that time to plan your day, do some reading, writing, creative thinking, or even meditation.
2. Driving in Your Car. Make the most of this time. Vary how you spend that time. If you always listen to music, perhaps also try: educational radio (NPR), positive audio tapes (suggestion: “Follow Your Heart” by Andrew Matthews) or even totally quiet time. Use that quiet time for brain storming. Either think in your head or even talk your ideas out loud. Bring a voice recorder. You could write a book via voice recorder over time.
3. Waiting in the Car. If you find that you have a certain amount of “waiting time” in your life, change how you perceive it. Instead of “waiting time” you can instantly change it into “me time” by bringing along reading, writing, or entertainment items. Or if you find yourself waiting and you don’t have any of these things use the time for creative thinking about your life or try some meditation.

Synergy

1. 2 Birds, One Stone. Look for ideas where you can fit in time for you within things you need to do already or that will have multiple benefits. See the ideas below to give you an idea.
2. Walk to Work. This is a a great one because you’re accomplishing many things at once. You’re getting exercise, you have time to think or enjoy music/audio, and you’re helping to save the environment.
3. Arrive Early. Any appointment that you have, plan to arrive 15-30 minutes early. Then use this time for you: reading, writing, meditation, relaxation, thinking, whatever. (xoxo)
4. Volunteering. There are so many benefits with this. You make a difference for others, you escape work and personal worries, and you grow as a person. If you could help one organization or group, which would it be? OK, now go ahead and Google them and find out how you can help – even if it’s just once a year.
5. Side Job. Find a side job at which you can make money, but that will also allow you to do something you love. Some ideas: coaching, teaching a class (art, writing, sport, hobby, anything else you know well), or training others (what special skills do you have that you could share with others? singing, windsurfing, math?)
6. Lunch Alone. Try sneaking away for a quiet lunch alone on a park bench or even in your car. Enjoy some quiet time with no one to talk to and no audio inputs. (xoxo)

Time Away from Kids

1. Organize “Mom’s Morning Out” Circle. If you have a friend or group of friends, you could arrange to share babysitting services a few times a month so that others in the group get some time alone. (xoxo)
2. Babysitters. Make a plan to have a babysitter that you trust watch your children once a month or once a week so that you can get some time for yourself. The key here is to take action and make it happen. If you want more time for yourself, you can get it. Just don’t be afraid to ask.
3. Gym with Babysitting Service. Find a gym that offers childcare so that you can take a yoga class, do some strength training, or even work with a personal trainer. Make sure you fully research the safety of their childcare program first though. Get some references.

.......................................

Losing weight is possible if you can find a way to calm the internal conflict.
One way to do this is to find new ways to cope with negative emotions.

+ Solve problems as they arise
+ Don’t internalize everything
+ Journal about problems and conflicts to come up with a sensible solution and avoid overeating
+ Rely on a friend for support
+ Use exercise as a way to get anger out
+ Adopt a positive attitude and try to see the silver lining in all situations
+ Listen to you inner voice and challenge what you are telling yourself

Tips to get your weight-loss efforts back on track

Although negative emotions can trigger emotional eating, you can take steps to control cravings and renew your effort at weight loss. To help stop emotional eating, try these tips:

  • Tame your stress. If stress contributes to your emotional eating, try a stress management technique, such as yoga, meditation or relaxation.
  • Have a hunger reality check. Is your hunger physical or emotional? If you ate just a few hours ago and don't have a rumbling stomach, you're probably not really hungry. Give the craving a little time to pass.
  • Keep a food diary. Write down what you eat, how much you eat, when you eat, how you're feeling when you eat and how hungry you are. Over time, you may see patterns emerge that reveal the connection between mood and food.
  • Get support. You're more likely to give in to emotional eating if you lack a good support network. Lean on family and friends or consider joining a support group.
  • Fight boredom. Instead of snacking when you're not truly hungry, distract yourself. Take a walk, watch a movie, play with your cat, listen to music, read, surf the Internet or call a friend.
  • Take away temptation. Don't keep supplies of comfort foods in your home if they're hard for you to resist. And if you feel angry or blue, postpone your trip to the grocery store until you're sure that you have your emotions in check.
  • Don't deprive yourself. When you're trying to achieve a weight-loss goal, you may limit your calories too much, eat the same foods frequently and banish the treats you enjoy. This may just serve to increase your food cravings, especially in response to emotions. Let yourself enjoy an occasional treat and get plenty of variety to help curb cravings.
  • Snack healthy. If you feel the urge to eat between meals, choose a low-fat, low-calorie snack, such as fresh fruit, vegetables with fat-free dip, or unbuttered popcorn. Or try low-fat, lower calorie versions of your favorite foods to see if they satisfy your craving.
  • Get enough sleep. If you're constantly tired, you might snack to try to give yourself an energy boost. Take a nap or go to bed earlier instead.
  • Seek therapy. If you've tried self-help options but you still can't get control of your emotional eating, consider therapy with a professional mental health provider. Therapy can help you understand the motivations behind your emotional eating and help you learn new coping skills. Therapy can also help you discover whether you may have an eating disorder, which is sometimes connected to emotional eating.

Understanding Calories :)

Salam :)

this is a breakthrough for me
2011 will be different
i hate to admit that last year i did not care about calorie at all
i did not care what kind for food went into my stomach
i just felt the food in my mouth
and filled up myself with snacks

some people will hate my entry
bragging about going into healthy eating and diet
so i still here
writing,.sorry you all have to read it all hehe
for the sake of loving my self
i will continue
to get back my own that trapped in me for just too damn long time

i dont know where to start
but really
i want to thank my old schoolmate
that introduced mynetdiary to me
all i have to do i just key in or add in the food i eat everyday
i just like very simple diary
than the program will add up the total of calories that i eat
before that
i keyed in my BMI to find out my total calories needs for a day

the more i do this
i really understand how this work
i can still eat anything ! as long as it below my calories counting for a day
easy :)
......................

please click links to read more ok :)

what is calorie ?
calorie - a unit of heat equal to the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one kilogram of water by one degree at one atmosphere pressure; used by nutritionists to characterize the energy-producing potential in food

"Calories are how much energy your body gets from the food and beverages that it consumes,"
ou must find the right balance of calories every day, depending on your overall goals. Eating too many calories and not burning enough through physical activities would yield a weight gain, while not eating enough calories [to keep up with your calorie burn] would yield a weight loss,"

and these are excellent tips for beginners :)

How many calories should you need a day?

If you're at a desirable body weight and have plenty of energy, your calories in food intake is probaly ok. However if you're gaining weight and feel tired a lot of the time, you may want to consider counting your intake of calories in food and changing your daily diet, because as you ingest extra calories your body will convert the excess energy to body fat. Ensure you don't eat less than 1200 calories a day, that's the minimum you need to get your nutrients and stay healthy.

The USDA figures show the average male 5 feet 10 inches in height and weighing 174 pounds, needs 2,900 calories per day - performing light to moderate activity. The average female, 5 feet 4 inches and weighing 138 pounds, needs 2,200 calories per day.

For healthy eating see our New Food Pyramid

What is your desirable weight?

Being overweight or underweight is defined in terms of weight for height, according to the Body Mass Index (BMI).

To calculate your BMI see our Body Mass Index Calculator

To find your height to weight ratio see our Height to Weight Ratio Chart

Calories Burned During Sex

Ok, if you really must know the number of calories you burn having sex or during sexual activities like foreplay we have put together a tongue in cheek article so you can calculate the number of calories burned having sex.

Some tips to help lose weight:

a) Start everyday with breakfast because your body will absorb as many nutrients as possible from the breakfast and this will boost your body metabolism.

b) Instead of one big meal, try to eat more times having smaller meals and calculate your calorie intake. You don't get fat because of a lack of exercise, you get fat because you don't eat the right foods at the right intervals each day.

c) Eat slowly, chew more and drink more water with the meal.

d) Choose foods that are low in fat and high in complex carbohydrates, such as whole-grain cereals and breads.

e) Drink lots of water, a glass every one - two hours will keep you feeling full.

f) Try a different type of food each day. The new flavors will save you from diet boredom

g) Change your diet from high calorie foods, eg. fatty meats, oily dressings, regular soft drinks to lower-calorie options like fish, zero-calorie dressings and water.

h) Switch to high fiber foods, low fat diet and, most importantly, exercise regularly.
